Original hard cover. Ray Long and Richard R Smith, NY, 1933. By author Gabriel Leighton and artist Natalie Van Vleck who painted the portrait of Roosevelt which was also used as a frontis. Book Condition: Good. No dust jacket. First Edition. Navy blue cloth, gold letters bright on front but dulled on spine, pages toned, contents page torn with some loss to text.

Description

Original hardcover. There is bumping to the spine ends and board edges and corners, with discoloration and marks to the spine and boards. The page edges are grubby and heavily tanned with foxing creeping into the pages. There are smudges on a few pages. There is significant damage to the hinges and binding with a few pages partially detached. This book is over 80 years old. It will have a general appearance commensurate with its age including age effects to page edges, binding and boards.
