This video features an update on our DIY self-watering, solar powered hydroponic garden built using a few 2×4’s, 10 inch PVC drain pipes, 3 feet of garden hose and a solar water pump I bought on Amazon for under $15.
All materials other than the solar water pump were purchased at a junk/lumber yard nearby for under $100.
The $15 solar pump can be purchased online at http://tiny.cc/Solar-Pump which recirculates approximately 40-50 gallons of oxygen rich water per hour, a perfect ratio for Tomatoes, Peppers, Lettuce, Peas, Cabbage, Celery, Squash, etc.
Awesome build!!! Question… How to you prevent UV & sunlight from hitting the water?
Brilliant use of junk and solar energy!!!! I am VERY impressed with this build and how you recycled a bunch of stuff to grow stuff. Very imaginative and informative. thank you for sharing!!!! A+
